Yutoku Inari Shrine, founded in 1687, is one of the three major Inari shrines in Japan.
Located in Kashima City, the shrine is renowned for its impressive hillside architecture, vibrant vermilion structures, and scenic views of the surrounding valley.
Participants can enjoy a peaceful walk through the shrine grounds, explore the ornate main hall, and learn about the cultural significance of Inari worship in Japan.

After visiting the shrine, the tour will continue to Hizen Hamashuku, a beautifully preserved Edo-period townscape. This area is famous for its cluster of historic sake breweries, many of which continue to produce high-quality local sake using traditional methods.
Participants will stroll through the charming streets, visit selected breweries, and enjoy guided tastings while learning about the craftsmanship behind Japanese sake

▪Sushi Lunch
The tour begins with a special sushi lunch, where participants can enjoy fresh seasonal seafood and experience one of Japan’s most celebrated culinary traditions. This is an excellent opportunity to taste authentic Japanese sushi prepared with locally sourced ingredients.

▪️ Chikugo River Lift Bridge (Guided Tour)
Next, we will visit the Chikugo River Lift Bridge, one of the largest movable lift bridges in Japan. Accompanied by a local guide, participants will learn about the history, engineering, and cultural significance of this unique landmark while enjoying views of the Chikugo River.

▪Saga Brewery Experience
The final stop is a traditional sake brewery in Saga Prefecture that was recently renovated. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the sake brewing process and enjoy a tasting of locally produced sake. In addition, a variety of sake products will be available for purchase as souvenirs at the brewery shop. This visit offers a unique insight into one of Japan’s most cherished cultural traditions.

For participants interested in discovering Japan’s traditional craftsmanship and culture, we offer the Japanese Cuisine & Traditional Crafts Course, a unique opportunity to explore some of Saga’s most distinguished cultural heritage sites.

The tour begins with a traditional Japanese lunch in Saga City, providing participants with an authentic taste of local cuisine and hospitality.

▪️ Nao Tesuki Washi Workshop & Studio Visit
Participants will visit the historic Nao Tesuki Washi workshop, where handmade Japanese paper has been produced using traditional techniques for generations. Visitors will learn about the papermaking process and the cultural significance of washi in Japanese society.

If sufficient interest is received, we also plan to offer an optional hands-on papermaking workshop for an additional fee of JPY 2,000 per person. Participants will be able to create their own handmade paper as a memorable keepsake from the conference.
