The 9th International Conference on Vibrational Optical Activity will be
held at the campus of Saga University
The Saga University is reached from the city center by a bus within about
15 minutes.
By Air
From Tokyo (Narita Airport):
Transfer to Haneda Airport or fly to Fukuoka Airport, then follow the route
below.
From Tokyo (Haneda Airport):
Direct flights to Saga Airport take approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
From Saga Airport, take the airport limousine bus to Saga Station (about
35 minutes).
From Overseas via Fukuoka Airport:
Saga City is approximately 1 hour from Fukuoka Airport by highway bus or
train.
By Train
From Fukuoka (Hakata Station):
Take the JR Nagasaki Line (rapid or local) to Saga Station.
Travel time is around 40–50 minutes.
From Osaka / Kyoto / Tokyo:
Take the Shinkansen to Hakata Station, then transfer to the JR Nagasaki
Line toward Saga.
Accomodations
There are many hotels in Saga. We recommend the two hotels listed below.
(1) Hotel New Otani Saga
Hotel New Otani Saga is situated near historic attractions such as Saga
Castle and the Saga Balloon Museum. The hotel is also conveniently located
near Saga University, approximately 20 min walk from the campus, providing
easy access for conference participants.
(2) Saga City Hotel
Saga City Hotel is located just a short walk from Saga Station, offering
excellent access to transportation, restaurants, and local attractions.
Its convenient location and practical services make it an ideal option
for conference attendees.From Saga station, there is a bus that takes you
directly to the campus in less than 15 minutes.
You can take a city bus from the Saga Station Bus Center (Platform 4).
The following bus routes go directly to “Saga University Mae” (Saga University
Front): Route 4, 11, 12, 63
All depart from Platform 4 at the Saga Station Bus Center.
